I’m in California in a town where it’s never snowed.

I feel like it’s been such a long time since I’ve blogged. I have been uploading on flickr, so I thought I’d merge all of them into one blog.

Obviously the Arcade has started. In case you still haven’t got in, or you’re not interested in battling the lag, my friends and I have a free organized yardsale where you can pick up extras people have left or sell your own. ASO made this holdable beard photo prop for the Arcade. It’s so cute and went well with Clawtooth’s Arcade hair.

The Men’s Dept is having a special event this month. They’ve allowed their vendors to set up gacha machines which means you can pick up transferable items to give as gifts for this season. I grabbed this jacket by Mikunch which is amazing. It comes in a female version as real as men’s, and has a texture change hud for the shirt.

Pigeons are my second favorite animal. This is important to know about me. Rachel Breaker made this pigeon head for the Arcade. Alchemy made the most beautiful dress for the Arcade (which you can see better below). I think the Arcade really lacks clothing and accessories, so it was refreshing to see them in the Arcade.

Vale Koer for Kustom 9

I’m going to the snow in January. I haven’t seen snow since I was 13. I don’t know what’s going to happen when I get there. I don’t know how to build a snowman, or ski, or sled. I really hope I can sled.

Quick post to note that Lark has a clearance room temporarily where everything will be 50L. I got this dress there but there are also accessories and home furnishings. Well worth the visit.

The maps he sent to us don’t mention lost coastlines

I really like the idea of drop crotch pants, but on SL they never seem to work. I’ve yet to find a pair for men that don’t look bad on my male avatar’s narrow, thin frame. They always kind of make him look saggy, and never fit under tight shirts. Apple Fall made these amazing pants, with a perfect drop crotch. I think the key was to not make the front sag too low. I also love the thin legs. They feel more hip than other pants i’ve tried. They’re so perfect, and they’re available at TMD now!

Also available at TMD is this beautiful coat/jacket combo. I have never heard of Breath before, but if their other clothes fit and look as nice, I’ll be a new fan.

New Season, New Items

When I saw that Random Matter’s Rayne Skin (available at Sad November), came with Loud Mouth applier, I thought I would try to fit it again. I’ve had so much trouble with it in the past. I think I did a good job this time around though. The skin is absolutely gorgeous, and truly stands out from other skin shops. The nose is very unique, you’ll notice this if you try it. The nostrils sit a little further away from each other, and I like that.

I love hair with movement, and Argrace has released two hairs with movement. This is one, the other is great for hanging upside down.

The Men’s Department starts in a couple days. Amitomo has released this flannel shirt with and undershirt for it. It comes with a male and female version. It’s really lose, and baggy, like a lot of their clothing. I really like it, it’s got a sort of grungy, casual feeling to it.

New from Ploom!

It’s rare that a store will release directly to their mainstore versus an event nowadays. It is refreshing though when it happens. I enjoy not having to wait until a sim is less packed and less laggy to shop for something I want.

Just in time for Halloween, Ploom. has released three new hairs that have interchangeable headbands. I’m wearing “Oh Deer” where I swapped out the deer antlers for devil horns. You can see all of the available headbands here. The pose is also from Ploom. and is called Mr. Crowley.

On a side note, Havenhollow’s Date Auction ended a couple days ago. I bid on a few strangers, including a “baddbitchhz” resident. I’ll be honest, my decision to bid on her was based solely on her name. When I looked her up after the auction, I saw she owned a skin store, and a release at the Cosmetic Fair. The skin I’m wearing is by her brand called Marina, and is called Yvonne. It has the most beautiful nose. I know this picture isn’t doing it justice, but you can see it for yourself here. Or demo it at the fair.

Something about Autumn

I’m really uninformed when it comes to picturesque sims. I asked about some great fall sims on plurk had some great responses. I was suggested Frisland, Izzie’s, Small Town of Green, The Trace, and Vespertine (which is where this photo was taken).

I needed an autumn sim to go with this beautiful oversized sweater by Eaters Coma, which is being sold at The Season’s Story at the moment. It comes with a cropped turtleneck to go under, but the sweater is big enough that it fits almost any shirt underneath. This is good, because I found the turtle neck to be rigged a little weird in the torso area, I suggest demo-ing first. Also by Eaters Coma is this hair (#55), which comes with a hat. I know I’ve mentioned previously that I’m a sucker for hair that comes with a hat attached. I’m so bad at fitting hats.

The Men’s Dept for October

I really wanted to update my male avatar to something more classy, and more handsome. I was having a hard time, until I found La Penderie  de Jules‘s beard. Honestly, putting on this beard makes your avatar an instant babe.

COCO released this suit for TMD and I’m in love. They also released it in a women’s version for FaMESHed. Unfortunately, COCO’s sizes always run to big for my female avatar, but at least I can enjoy it on my male avatar.

If you’re wondering about the funny shadow over my avatar, that’s my lovely friend Aida’s hat. I told her I didn’t want to retake it because I liked having it there. She’s my buddy!

I feel haunted, I feel at home

Mystic Realms Faire started today, and Ploom has this adorable hair. I don’t normally do color in my hair, but this red dip is so witchy. You can pick it up on the Eldertree sim of the faire.

This skin by La Malvada Mujer is also pretty witchin’, and it’s a FREE group gift. I have added Action’s bloody mouth and black eye make up, so it’s prettier than you think, haha.

Golden, fallen heart

If you’re having trouble getting into C88, don’t give up. The items this month are worth the battle. Pixicat made this beautiful vintage corset for this month’s Collabor88. The theme this month is Spoopy Motel, and I love how Pixicat was able to capture the theme, but still create something super sexy. I paired it with this tattoo by Reckless called Jameson. Tattoos are really starting to grow on me.  I knew I wanted some sort of necklace, and when I saw Maitreya‘s “Collar and Pearls” set, it was love at first sight.

My hair is by tulip. and is called Elena. I just want to remind everyone that TODAY is the LAST DAY to get tulip’s items, as she is closing up shop. Everything is 50% off, and fatpacks are just 499L.
